Making your kids eat healthy can be a daunting task.

Children, if left unchecked, will most often go for the unhealthy, sugary option. They’ll want to eat pizza, not broccoli. Cake, not carrots.

If we allow this to go on into their teenage years, they can develop a host of eating issues and disorders. We don’t want this for our kids. We want them to develop into strong, healthy teenagers, and strong, healthy adults.

Although this seems impossible in the day and age we live in, I’m telling you it’s possible. Not only that, but it can be easy, if you do it the right way.

And that is why in today’s episode, I talk about how to deal with your kids’ eating habits. You’ll learn:

  • My top four steps for helping your kids to develop a healthy relationship with food.

  • The single largest influence on your kids’ eating habits.

  • Why forcing your children to eat healthy can backfire.

  • What to do when your kid doesn’t want to eat foods that are healthy.

  • How family values influence the way your children see food and eating.

  • The problem with our kids making an emotional association with the foods they eat.

  • The importance of including your children in meal planning and in cooking.

  • Tips and tricks that will make it possible for your kid to enjoy eating healthy.

  • How the way you talk and think about food, can also influence how your kids talk and think about food.

  • Limiting the meal options in your household, and how it can lead to your child eating healthy.

Remember, food is just food. We want our kids to learn to not have negative feelings about food and eating. It’s what will make it possible for them to enjoy life, and eating, as they grow up.
