If you've been listening to the Big Os this week, you know that the secret to ending the overwhelm, over-obligation, and overeating is to first get really clear on what you WANT, and then go after it relentlessly.

In the final part of the Big Os series, we’re talking all about being honest with ourselves, and giving ourselves permission to go after the things we want.

As women, we want to be present for everything, and we want to do everything.

If you're anything like me, when we make the decision to start putting ourselves first a lot of guilt, shame, and fear can come up in the process. Tell me if you find yourself thinking the following thoughts:

  • It would be selfish to put my wants first.

  • Won't I become totally self-centered if I prioritize myself above all else?

  • If I only do what I want to do, nothing will get done!

You probably had these thoughts today. Either way, someone is going to be disappointed. Thinking this way, feeling this way, makes us into people we don’t like. It’s why I want to listen to today’s episode, in which I go over:

  • Discovering what it is that we want.

  • Cognitive dissonance and how it affects our mindset.

  • How to take action from a place of “want” and not “should”.

  • Strategies on banishing the fear of saying no and disappointing your friends and family.

  • Redefining what success means to you.

  • Letting go of perfection and how it helps you to be more calm and show up at your best.

  • The importance of setting boundaries with people in your life.

  • How to be unapologetic in putting yourself first and how this makes you more generous and compassionate.

Listen in on the last of the Big Os four-part series and learn how to move past that guilt and shame and become unapologetically YOU. It’s better for you, it’s better for everyone around you.
