Rest + Recovery + Bonding + Becoming

WRAPAROUND POSTPARTUM CARE FOR EVERY PART OF YOU

Luminosa nourishes new mothers on a mental, physical, and emotional level.

Imagine…

Each week I arrive at your home and you get to exhale. I facilitate the rhythms that will allow you to heal, recover, rest, and bond with your baby.

Perhaps…

  • A warm shower or a luxurious bath with essential oils prepares you to crawl between fresh linens lull you into deep rest, knowing your baby is resting in the arms of a trained and experienced doula.

  • When you wake, your kitchen has been reset, yand your yoga mat is rolled out, waiting for you to experience your personalized postnatal yoga session led by a certified and experienced perinatal yoga teacher.

  • Following yoga, you sit back and sip on a ultra nourishing smoothie prepared just for you and talk, really talk, to a trained and experienced coach about what’s happening for you in this transition.

Imagine feeling clear, calm, centered, and restored you’d get to feel— and how that would impact you, your relationships, and your baby.

Becoming a mother is more than having a baby.

You have just done something triumphant– you birthed a baby.

You’re whole pregnancy you planned to give this baby extraordinary care.

Postpartum, not only does your body need healing and recovery, but there’s something else that rarely gets talked about and that almost no one is prepared for– the nurturing of the mother’s wellness on a mental, emotional, and spiritual level.

And yet, not only does the baby demand so much, but everyone around you is focused on the baby, too. Who is focused on you?

At Luminosa, we believe the mother needs extraordinary care, too.

YOUR HOME, RESET.

So you can rest instead of manage.

Your environment matters when you are recovering.

I tend to the details that make your home feel peaceful, functional, and restorative again—resetting the kitchen, preparing nourishing food, refreshing linens, creating order, setting out fresh flowers, brewing a pot of tea, and attending to the small things that quietly consume your energy.

A sanctuary created around your recovery.

So you can retreat. Rest. Feed your baby. Sleep.

And spend this time getting to know your new baby– and your new self.

YOUR BODY, RESTORED.

YOU, THRIVING.

Because a mother is being born, too.

The birth of a baby can rearrange your inner world almost overnight.

Your identity, emotions, relationships, priorities, boundaries. confidence, understanding of who you are.

Luminosa gives you a private space to tend to that transformation through coaching woven into your postpartum care.

Becoming a mother is one of the most profound transitions you’ll make in your life and it deserves to be supported, fully.

We slow down enough to notice what is happening in your inner world, hold non-judgemental space for what you are feeling, reconnect you with the core of who you really are, reclaim what matters most to you, and help you anchor in yourself as you find your way into motherhood.

So you can recover instead of suffer.

Your postpartum body doesn't need another demand placed upon it.

It needs thoughtful attention.

Through private postnatal yoga, breath, restorative movement, and gradually rebuilding strength, you receive care customized for the postpartum body you are living in now.

There is nothing to prove.

Nowhere to rush back to.

First, we restore. Then, when you are ready, we strengthen.

My Commitment to Inclusive, Anti-Racist Care

Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period should be experiences of dignity, safety, respect, and compassionate care for every family. Yet the reality is that racism continues to shape maternal health outcomes, access to care, and the way many individuals and families experience the healthcare system.

Black women are disproportionately affected by maternal morbidity and mortality, and families of color continue to encounter inequities that no one should face during one of life's most vulnerable transitions. These disparities are not inevitable—they are the result of systems, policies, and biases that require our attention and our action.

Creating equitable perinatal care requires more than welcoming everyone. It requires actively working to recognize and dismantle barriers, listening to the experiences of those who have been marginalized, and advocating for care that is respectful, evidence-informed, and person-centered.

This practice is committed to being part of that work by:

  • Providing a space where every client is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

  • Honoring each family's culture, identity, values, and lived experience.

  • Continuing to learn about racial inequities in maternal and infant health and incorporating that learning into practice.

  • Examining policies, partnerships, referrals, and educational materials to reduce barriers to access and belonging.

  • Welcoming accountability, listening to feedback with humility, and making meaningful changes when improvement is needed.

  • Standing alongside organizations, healthcare professionals, and community members working to advance racial justice and improve outcomes for Black families and all families of color.

Anti-racism is not a passive belief. It is an ongoing practice of learning, advocacy, accountability, and action. The goal is not simply to avoid discrimination, but to help create a perinatal community where every family feels seen, heard, respected, and empowered.

This commitment is ongoing. This statement will be revisited regularly as this practice continues to learn, grow, and strengthen its commitment to equitable care through both reflection and action.

Every family deserves equitable, compassionate care. Every parent deserves to be heard. Every baby deserves the healthiest possible start. This practice is committed to being an active part of building that future.
