If you’re like most people, you’ve probably gone through some of the following motions:

  • Feeling full and bloated after something you ate.

  • Needing to eat a lot more just to be “satisfied”.

  • Wishing you didn’t eat so much.

  • Feeling shame about what you ate, seconds after eating it.

Now, this isn’t automatically a cause for concern. But, If you’re constantly overeating and feeling guilty about what and how much you ate, there’s a good chance you’re an emotional overeater. 

But it doesn’t have to be this way. And that’s why you want to join me in today’s episode in which I share the 25 ways to tell if you’re an emotional overeater. 

I’ve gone through many of these steps myself, and I know how difficult it is to resist eating delicious, homemade foods. Or saying no to your friends and relatives when they offer you that pie. Those foods make you all giddy inside. It is what happens after, if you’ve been doing this for a longer period, that might lead to all sorts of problems like self-loathing or eating disorders.

And you want to be aware of the ways in which you emotionally overeat, being mindful of them every time you pick up that donut or cookie.

Truth is, when you overeat:

  • There’s probably an emotion that precedes the urge to continue stuffing yourself with your food of choice. 

  • You didn’t know how to handle that emotion in a healthy way at that moment.
