In this episode, I wrap-up my four part Back-2-Basics series. It’s time to learn to appreciate the work you’ve done leading up to this point.
Obligation-thinking leads us to think we don’t have the time to celebrate, and that we don’t deserve to treat ourselves for following through on our goals.
This cannot be further separated from the truth. It’s time to celebrate. The importance of celebration wins, small or big, cannot go understated. I’m not talking about “cheat meals” that easily turn into “cheat days”.
We’re staying away from the pleasures we’re hardwired to seek, and crave. I want you to satisfy those desires without compromising your waistline.
And it’s totally possible to do this without binging on cakes and donuts.
In the final part of the series, you’ll learn:
The importance of finding reasons to celebrate.
Ways in which we can be our biggest cheerleader.
Finding joy in the process, and not in the results.
How to reframe your mindset about what success looks like to you.
Tips on staying on the path, regardless of how times you slip-up.
Small ways in which you can appreciate your progress.
How celebrating your wins can lead to a massive impact on your relationship with food.
Rewarding yourself on your wins doesn’t mean that you need to allow yourself to fall off the wagon and return to where you started. It can be as simple as going for a walk and listening to your favorite podcast or audiobook.
You don’t even need to do this. But, you’ll be missing out on the impact celebrating your wins can have on your life, and the enjoyment you squeeze out of it.
