Thanksgiving has just passed. You’ve probably celebrated with loved ones. Chances are, tasty food was involved, in huge quantities.

It’s very easy to succumb to your cravings and gorge on home-baked pies and turkey. Actually, it’s more difficult to do the opposite. To resist, and feel good for doing that.

Almost always we choose the suffering route. And I mean the moment, and days after the holiday. The time when we reflect on what we ate and feel disgusted with ourselves.

We feel shame, we beat ourselves up. We feel like giving up.

This is no way to enjoy your holidays. If you anticipate misery, it will arrive on your doorstep. If you constantly feel like something’s wrong with you, you won’t be present with your family, holidays or not.

Who wants to live like that? I sure as hell don’t, and you probably feel the same way.

That’s why I invite you to listen to today’s episode, in which I talk about how willpower and discipline aren’t the solution to our overeating problem. It all starts with our IDENTITY.

How we identify with our eating patterns will ultimately decide whether we overeat or not. If our thoughts convince us that we are failures, we’ll act like ones.

I want you to escape this prison of mind. So, strap in, and listen to this episode, in which I go over:

  • How your identity affects your eating habits.

  • Four questions I ask myself when I overeat, that make me feel better afterwards (although, I rarely overeat nowadays).

  • Changing your mindset from “failing” to “learning”.

  • Mindfulness practices you can implement when you overeat, or when you feel the urge to overeat.

  • The importance of being kind to yourself even when you overeat.

Stop the cycle of beating yourself up for overeating, and doing it all over again. There’s a better way, and I’m here to show it to you.
