Even though holidays are a time of festivity, it can be stressful during this period. You might experience a wide range of emotions, especially if this involves other family members you haven’t seen in a long time.
On top of that, food is everywhere around us. Inviting us to eat, unbutton our pants, and then eat some more.
It’s easy to just give up before the holidays start, thinking that it’s a losing battle to try to not overeat.
It’s not your fault. Nothing is wrong with you. It’s absolutely normal to fall into the trap of overeating due to stress and strong emotional reactions.
But, there is a way out. And it’s simpler and easier than you might think. You need to be honest with yourselves. Ask hard questions that might lead you to harder answers.
But it’s the best way towards freeing yourself from the vicious cycle of overeating and feeling bad afterwards.
That’s why I want you to check out today’s episode, in which you’ll learn:
The reasons why you’re overeating during the holidays.
How we avoid feeling discomfort and why this could lead us to overeat.
How negative thoughts result in negative actions, and negative results.
Why you’re overeating either from emotion, or from habit.
The difference between physical, and emotional hunger.
